Imran Khan was born on October 5, 1952, in Lahore, Pakistan. He is the son of Ikramullah Khan Niazi, a civil engineer, and Shaukat Khanum.

Khan was educated at Aitchison College and the Royal Grammar School Worcester in England, and later attended Keble College, Oxford, where he studied philosophy, politics, and economics.

Khan began his cricketing career in 1971 and made his international debut for Pakistan in 1976. He quickly established himself as a talented all-rounder and was named the captain of the Pakistani team in 1982.

 Under his leadership, Pakistan won the 1992 Cricket World Cup and Khan was hailed as a national hero. He retired from cricket in 1992 and was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame in 2010.

In 1996, Khan founded the PTI political party, which advocates for political and economic reform in Pakistan. 

He ran for Prime Minister in the 1997 and 2013 general elections, but was unsuccessful. In 2018, the PTI won the most seats in the National Assembly, and Khan was sworn in as Prime Minister on August 18, 2018.

As Prime Minister, Khan has focused on improving Pakistan's economy, fighting corruption, and improving relations with other countries.

 He has faced criticism for his handling of certain issues, including the economy and relations with India.
